Casey Kasem and the top 40 countdown

  How could any of us who grew up in the 70's, 80's and 90's not remember Casey Kasem from the top 40 countdown?  The man with the golden voice who once did the top 40 hits made a listener want to tune into the radio program just to hear him speak.  I still can remember the anticipation while waiting for the top 40 countdown to come on over the airways.  Yes, Casey sure brings back great memories of yesteryear when life was much more simple and listening to a radio program was like tuning into your favorite televison series.

  It is sad to hear that the man with the golden voice, who also was once the voice for Shaggy from Scooby- Doo, now suffers from advanced Parkinsons disease and is no longer able to speak at the age of 82.  He is also missing and his family is desperately trying to find his whereabouts.  I wish this family the best and hope they are soon reunited.
