Ola & The Janglers - Let's Dance, 1968

Posted by http://www.nostalgoteket.se I know I have made two version before of this song featuring beach movies, however I was not really satisfied. So this is a new version completely. Here I've used Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine (1965) as a base, actually this segment fits the music perfectly, no cuts needed! That would be too easy though so I've added Pasha (1968), Les Aventuriers (1967), Pierrot le fou (1965) and Psycho a go-go (1965). Ola & the Janglers were a garage rock and beat group from Sollentuna, Sweden, founded in 1962. Its lead member was Ola Håkansson. With Claes "Clabbe" af Geijerstam joining Ola & The Janglers around the year-end 1965-66, the group began to move higher on the charts. "Love Was On Your Mind" would have certainly become a worldwide hit if the Rolling Stones had recorded it; at least, the song became a big hit in Sweden and Ola & The Janglers' first one in the Top Ten. There would be more of them to follow. The group's 1969 hit "Let's Dance", a cover of the Chris Montez song, reached #92 on the Billboard Hot 100. Ola went on to form Secret Service and had a succesfull career all over europe.
