Friday Harbor is a favorite destination for many visiting the San Juan Islands. Reachable by Washington State Ferry, Private Boat, or Float Plane, Friday Harbor is a great place to catch a Whale Watching Excursion boat, go on a fishing charter or to make as a home base for visiting day trips to nearby Orcas Island, and Lopez Island. The Washington State Ferry makes it easy to bring your car from the mainland so you can explore the Islands and you can also continue on to Victoria on Vancouver Island in Canada. Friday Harbor is the only incorporated city in the San Juan Islands and its also the county seat. No visit to the San Juan Islands is complete without a visit to Friday Harbor and Roche Harbor with shares the same island as Friday Harbor.
